DEI: Our Priority at SCM Law
SCM Law prioritizes an atmosphere that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
We recognize that diverse viewpoints and experiences enhance team performance and facilitate exceptional client service. We aim to cultivate a supportive work environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging. We demonstrate our dedication to promoting an inclusive culture within our organization and throughout the legal community by assessing our customs and practices, pursuing recruitment and retention campaigns, and engaging in outreach programs.
Our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee actively and intentionally consider concrete steps the firm can take to build on its positive history and improve for current and future SCM team members. For example, the committee has begun recording stories from SCM attorneys and staff to highlight the many strengths that each person brings to the SCM community. The committee also collaborates with local organizations to foster DEI efforts throughout the larger legal community.
In addition to these special projects, the firm consistently pursues initiatives focused on recruiting, mentoring, professional development and advancement, education, client partnerships, and community outreach.
