Snow Christensen & Martineau Announces New Shareholders

Snow Christensen & Martineau is pleased to announce the election of two new Shareholders, Robert B. Cummings and Matthew B. Purcell. “Robert and Matt are knowledgeable attorneys who are well-regarded in their practice areas. Robert has extensive experience representing clients in both federal and state courts, along with government and internal investigations.  Robert’s securities practice has involved defending securities fraud and related claims under the federal ’33 and ’34 acts along with state blue skies laws in both federal and state court.  He has defended clients in criminal securities fraud claims, including defending a client to verdict.  Robert’s practice also includes defending directors and officers of companies against claims including breach of fiduciary duty claims.  Aside from litigation, Robert has also advised companies with matters related to formation, governing documents, and proper governance.  Overall, he has advised clients at all stages of litigation in various matters, from pre-filing investigations, through trial, and up to and including appeals.

Matt’s practice focuses on a variety of litigation issues including medical malpractice, professional liability defense, personal injury defense, and commercial litigation.  Matt also has experience in advising clients through governmental investigations and institutional changes, including proposing policies and procedures to guide interactions with, and responses to, law enforcement personnel.
