SCM Elects New Shareholders 2015

Snow, Christensen & Martineau is pleased to announce the election of four new shareholders: Nathan A. Crane, Christopher W. Droubay, Daniel D. Hill, and Scott C. Powers

Nathan’s practice areas include complex criminal defense and civil litigation in both state and federal court. Nathan has extensive experience in criminal defense as well as in representing physicians in matters with the Department of Professional Licensing (DOPL) and in representing police officers and firefighters in Section 1983 civil rights complaints filed in federal court. Nathan is a member of the federal Criminal Justice Act panel and is often appointed to represent indigent criminal defendants in criminal court.

Chris’ practice covers a variety of civil litigation matters including medical malpractice defense, insurance defense and employment issues. He also represents and counsels clients on a number of complex statutory and regulatory issues, including: Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act. 

Dan is a seasoned litigator having handled many commercial and financial cases and probate disputes through trial and arbitration on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.  One of Danl’s favorite areas to practice in is investment and securities disputes.  In addition to representing investors, financial advisors, and broker-dealers in litigation and regulatory matters, he is a FINRA arbitrator.  He has chaired several FINRA panels, and also ruled on a multi-million dollar FINRA arbitration.  Mr. Hill is also an approved RIA/financial advisor auditor.

Scott’s practice involves a broad array of commercial litigation with an emphasis on construction, surety, and insurance-related matters. Licensed in Utah and Nevada, Mr. Powers has litigated disputes across the intermountain west. During his career, Mr. Powers has successfully represented clients in a wide variety of legal matters including construction contract claims, defect claims, surety bond claims, mechanics lien claims, insurance coverage litigation, catastrophic injury claims, and class action lawsuits.
