SCM Announces That it’s Adding Three Attorneys to the Salt Lake City Office
Snow Christensen & Martineau (‘SCM’) is pleased to announce that three attorneys have joined the firm’s Government Practice Group. New attorneys include shareholders Jody K Burnett and Robert C. Keller, and Timothy J. Bywater as of counsel. Prior to joining SCM, all attorneys were formerly with the Utah-based law firm of Williams & Hunt.

New shareholder Jody Burnett added, “We are all excited to be joining Snow Christensen’s highly regarded government law practice. Our collective experience, along with our historical relationship with the firm, and long-standing friendships with the attorneys, makes this a natural fit. We’ll now be able to provide a solid platform for expanding the services we offer our combined client base.”
Jody K Burnett’s practice focuses on representing governmental entities, primarily municipalities and counties, in the areas of land use planning, zoning, and related constitutional and civil rights claims. Jody received his J.D. from Cornell Law School, 1977.
Robert C. Keller’s practice focuses on representing government clients in land use litigation involving vested rights, zoning and eminent domain issues, as well as state court review of land use decisions and land use related federal court litigation. He also represents insurers and insureds in insurance coverage disputes and commercial litigation. Rob received his J.D. from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law, 1986.
Timothy J. Bywater’s practice focuses on the representation of governmental entities on land use issues and defending constitutional and civil rights claims. He also defends against medical malpractice and asbestos related claims. Tim received his J.D. from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law, 2006.
