SC&M Announces Launch of Charter School Representation Practice

Snow Christensen & Martineau announces the formation and launch of a Charter School Representation practice in Utah.

Since the Charter Schools Act of 1992, increased popularity in charter school formations has occurred nationwide.  These educational structures, alternates to traditional public schools, must operate in accordance with unique rules, standards, and policies.  These schools are exempt from some regulations while required to abide by others, including policies established by their charter authorizers.

SC&M’s Charter School Practice team advises clients on the full range of legal issues faced by this classification of schools, which might involve state and federal courts, administrative bodies, due process hearings, civil claims defense matters, employment issues, and more.

Lawyers and paralegals on the team include those who are highly experienced in governmental law, employment law, and civil defense matters with both general business and litigation experience.    Although every effort is made to resolve disputes outside of the courtroom, should the need arise, SC&M is one of the most qualified trial law firms in Utah and always well prepared to defend our clients as needed.
