Rodney R. Parker Named New President of SCM
Attorney Rodney R. Parker was appointed President of the firm on January 1, 2019. He replaces Andrew M. Morse, who has served as the firm’s President since 2011. Rod leads the firm’s appellate practice. His practice focuses on civil and criminal appeals, product liability, family law, and general litigation. Rod has practiced law at SCM for 35 years.
Rod graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah in 1980 with a Bachelor’s Degree in business. He graduated from the S.J. Quinney College of Law in 1983. Rod served as Associate Deputy Attorney General on the immediate staff of the Deputy Attorney General of the United States in Washington, D.C. from 1988 to 1989. In that position, he exercised the DAG’s oversight function for the Lands and Natural Resources Division and the Civil Division.
