As a highly experienced trial attorney and compassionate family law attorney, Stephen handles complicated commercial clients in business disputes as well as personalized legal counsel for high net-worth individuals, business owners, and others facing divorce and custody issues in family law matters.  He has also helped dozens of clients protect inherited or other separate assets through pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.

Stephen knows the difficult process of divorce, and having suitable legal representation can make a significant difference.  Knowing when to invest in a divorce lawyer who understands the nuances of family law can be invaluable for those facing the end of their marriage.  Stephen’s vast experience has equipped him with skills uniquely valuable in his varied practice.

With a solid understanding of financial issues, Stephen’s mediation and collaboration skills;  his zealous advocacy in litigation; and his patient, empathetic understanding approach to his client’s circumstances means he works closely with each client to customize the best approach for them based on their specific situation and concerns.

Stephen began his law career at LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & McRae in New York, New York, where he practiced for eight years before moving to Pittsburgh when LeBoeuf became National Litigation Counsel for ALCOA.  Stephen helped establish LeBoeuf’s Pittsburgh office, then moved to Milan, Italy, as European Counsel for ALCOA.  He subsequently served for four years as Legal Director for the ACLU of Utah, successfully handling notable civil rights cases involving free speech, religious freedom, and equality.
