H. Justin Hitt

Justin Hitt is a trial lawyer who has handled civil cases from filing of complaint through resolution by informal settlement, mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal. Before joining Snow Christensen & Martineau, Justin was in-house counsel for Farmers Insurance, defending as “first-chair” hundreds of personal injury cases in Utah and Idaho from inception to trial, mediation, arbitration, and appeal. He tried twenty cases to jury verdict with many no-cause verdicts. In his time at Farmers Insurance, his cases involved a wide array of injury claims arising from automobile, bicycle and dog bite incidents to construction defect and slip and falls.

While in private practice, Justin frequently appeared in federal and state courts, conducted first-chair discovery, including depositions, evaluated cases for liability and damage exposure, and handled a heavy motion practice, including appellate work.
