The Utah Supreme Court has approved amendments to the following rule, which provides court recognition of the statutory peer support privilege recently enacted by the Legislature.  The amendment was effective as of May 8, 2018.

Rule of Evidence

URE0507. First Responder Peer Support. New. A person receiving peer support services from a peer support team member has the privilege to refuse to disclose and to prevent another person from disclosing peer support communications.
