SCM estate and wealth planning attorney, Jon Miller, recently presented at the Financial Planning Association’s Utah Chapter meeting on Real Estate Transfer Mechanisms In and Out of Probate. He discussed property transfers upon death through a will, trust, joint tenancy, intestacy, and more. Topics also included the Utah Uniform Electronic Wills Act. But for some, there are other legal methods for transferring assets that can bypass the time and expense of probate. In addition to being a faster and more cost-efficient way for one’s intended beneficiaries to receive the assets.
