Mr. Christensen served as Deputy Attorney General of the United States in both the Reagan and Bush administrations and as head of the Litigation Division of the Utah Attorney General's Office. He has practiced government law since 1963, when the Utah Governmental Immunity Act was adopted, defending the state, counties, and municipalities in a wide spectrum of cases. He is currently defending the State of Utah in claims for attorneys' fees in the tobacco litigation.
Mr. Christensen currently is engaged in a wide range of commercial, business, antitrust, and intellectual property litigation and represents major medical device manufacturers as corporate counsel, as well. He does personal injury litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants. Recently, he won a $1.5 million verdict for an automobile accident victim. He defends legal malpractice claims and has served as an expert witness for both plaintiffs and defendants in conflict of interest cases and is also frequently engaged in high-profile divorce cases.
