Robert R. Harrison is a shareholder of SC&M and the Chair of the governing board of the health law section for the Federal Bar Association. His practice focuses on regulatory, organizational, and transactional services in health care. Mr. Harrison completed his undergraduate education at the University of Richmond, earned a Master of Heath Administration degree from the Medical College of Virginia, and graduated cum laude from the Saint Louis University School of Law, where he also earned an Honors Certificate in Health Law from the Center for Health Law Studies.
Mr. Harrison advises regional and national clients on a wide range of health care issues, with an emphasis on regulatory compliance in corporate, transactional, and organizational matters, including civil and criminal health care fraud defense. In addition to state and federal court admissions, he is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Harrison served in a variety of academic and administrative capacities in university medical centers and private hospitals. He completed an Administrative Fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical System in 1985, and in 1993 was a Visiting Fellow in Health Policy at the United States Senate. Mr. Harrison currently serves on a number of hospital and community boards and committees, and frequently writes and speaks on issues in law and health care.
