Matthew W. Starley Associate
Mr. Starley joined Snow, Christensen & Martineau in 2008 after practicing for nearly four years in Nevada. While in Nevada, Mr. Starley’s practice areas included business services, commercial litigation, contracts, intellectual property, real estate, general trial practice and appellate work. Mr. Starley also enjoyed a short tenure as in-house counsel for a progressive Nevada aerospace company.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Starley has been involved in a multi-billion dollar complex commercial litigation matter between two global chemical corporations. Additionally, he has been involved in intellectual property litigation, insurance defense work and general trial practice. Mr. Starley’s clients range from individuals to small and medium-sized businesses, insurance companies, and large corporations. He has assisted clients in matters ranging in value from tens of thousands of dollars to one matter valued at over ten billion dollars.
While attending law school, Mr. Starley studied business and intellectual property law. He spent his first summer as a clerk for the New Hampshire S.E.A. and his second summer as a summer associate with a Nevada law firm. During his second and third years, Mr. Starley was selected to represent his school in the Cardozo/BMI Entertainment and Communications Law Moot Court Competition held each spring in New York City and was selected as Associate Justice for the school’s Moot Court Board.
